Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their food orders at the counter, ensuring quick and friendly service
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, maintaining quality and consistency
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card payments
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, sanitizing work surfaces, and ensuring proper food handling procedures are followed
- Manage time efficiently during busy periods to serve customers promptly while adhering to food safety regulations
- Support food preparation tasks in the kitchen or café area as needed, demonstrating culinary experience and teamwork
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or quick service & fast food restaurants, with knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that encourages repeat business
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math for transactions and retail math calculations
- Familiarity with food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety protocols in a restaurant or grocery store setting
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
- Basic kitchen experience or culinary background preferred for supporting food prep activities
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and assist customers efficiently
