General Manager - Restaurant

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all restaurant operations, including food preparation, service delivery, and staff supervision to ensure smooth daily functioning.
• Oversee inventory control, food safety standards, and food handling procedures to maintain high-quality standards and compliance with health regulations.
• Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reporting to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Train, develop, and motivate staff through effective team management, staff training programs, and performance evaluations to foster a positive work environment.
• Manage shift schedules, supervise kitchen and front-of-house teams, and coordinate catering or banquet services as needed to meet customer demands.
• Conduct profit and loss analysis, budgeting, and cost control initiatives to maximize profitability while maintaining excellent service standards.
• Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere aligned with hospitality best practices.

Experience

• Proven management experience in quick service or fast food restaurants, casual dining establishments, or fine dining environments with a strong background in food industry operations.
• Demonstrated expertise in food safety management, food production, kitchen management, and culinary experience.
• Prior experience supervising hospitality teams with skills in team leadership, training & development, and staff interviewing.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is essential for daily operations.
• Experience managing budgets, conducting profit & loss analysis, and implementing cost control measures.
• Knowledge of catering services or banquet management is a plus; bar experience or coffee shop background is advantageous.
• Strong managerial communication skills combined with excellent customer service abilities to lead teams effectively in a fast-paced environment.
