Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food, creativity in menu planning, and the ability to manage a diverse team. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive culinary knowledge, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Duties

  • Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current food trends while meeting customer preferences.
  • Manage inventory control and ensure proper food handling practices are followed.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and mentorship to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Coordinate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs or restrictions.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Collaborate with management on catering events and banquet services to ensure seamless execution.
  • Monitor food production processes to maintain quality standards and minimize waste.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate expectations, address concerns, and foster teamwork.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers for quality ingredients while managing costs effectively.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar leadership role within the food industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen management practices.
  • Experience in fine dining establishments is preferred; banquet experience is a plus.
  • Strong supervisory skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent menu planning skills with an understanding of dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Proficient in inventory management and control processes.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.

Position Positives:

  • 4 Day work week available
  • Lunch / DInner Service. No Late nights.
  • Ability to create Cajun inspired daily features

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
