Preschool Lead Teacher

Lighthouse Academy Child Development Center is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to join our team! If you have a passion for working with young children and helping them learn and grow in a loving environment, we’d love to hear from you. This position is for the 3 year old classroom. You would be the teacher in a classroom of 10-12 kiddos who are three years old as of 7/31/26.

Position Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities each day.
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
• Encourage children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom.
• Follow all licensing regulations and center policies.

Qualifications:

• Patience, kindness, and a genuine love for working with young children are essential.
• Previous preschool or childcare experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
• Must be available to work Monday through Friday for a minimum of 6 hours per day.
• No evenings past 5:15 PM, and no weekends or holidays.
• Must complete 24 hours of continuing education annually.
• Must be able to pass a fingerprint background check and the Adult/Child Abuse & Neglect Registry.
