People & Operations Coordinator

Lightfox Games is seeking a resourceful and organized People & Operations Coordinator to join our Seattle, Washington based team. You'll be a key partner in building out the studio — helping us find great people, get our new office off the ground, and make sure every new hire has a smooth start.

We are looking to build an organization of talented individuals operating in small teams with high levels of ownership.

This role is hybrid out of our downtown Seattle office, with a meaningful portion of time expected in-person given the hands-on nature of the work. When remote, we're a quick-to-videocall, video-on studio to keep collaboration fast and effective.

Responsibilities

• Support full-cycle recruiting across a range of roles — coordinating interviews, managing candidate pipelines, and keeping candidates well-informed throughout the process
• Partner with leadership to draft job descriptions, post roles, and source candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, and referral networks
• Help plan and execute the build-out and ongoing management of our Pioneer Square office, including coordinating with vendors, tracking furniture and equipment orders, and managing logistics
• Procure and manage hardware for new hires, including laptops, peripherals, and accessories
• Coordinate onboarding for new employees and contractors — preparing materials, scheduling first-week logistics, and ensuring a smooth Day 1 experience
• Support light HR and people operations tasks as needed, including offer letter prep, file management, and benefits enrollment coordination

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in recruiting, office operations, HR coordination, or a closely related role
• Interest in video games or the games industry
• Highly organized with strong follow-through — comfortable owning multiple moving pieces simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working independently in an ambiguous, fast-moving startup environment
• Based in or near Seattle, with availability to be on-site at our Pioneer Square office regularly

Pluses

• Experience at a video game studio
• Experience sourcing candidates for technical or creative roles (artists, engineers, designers)
• Familiarity with LinkedIn Recruiter or other sourcing tools
• Experience coordinating office build-outs
• Experience with HR platform migrations or familiarity with Rippling

Compensation & Benefits

This is a full-time, salaried position with a base salary range of $80,000–$95,000, depending on experience.
