What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Supervisor position at Lightera?

We currently seek a Maintenance Supervisor to help support our Facilities Department in our Norcross location.
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage relationships with contractors and service providers
- Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
- Monitor critical systems of facilities to ensure functionality
- Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities
- Manage and direct day-to-day Trades personnel work assignments
- Maintain maintenance logs and report on daily activities
- Ensure that designated buildings, plant and facilities are fit for purpose and to provide proactive support/solutions when required
- Ensure health and safety policies are in compliance
- HAZWOPER Certified
- Allocate workload and supervise janitorial and landscaping staff.
- Use in-house CMMS to create, manage and report day-to-day work assignments and preventive maintenance activities
- Coordinate off-hours and weekend work
- Participate in the on-call duty roster for critical or emergency events
- Perform other related duties as required.
Key qualifications:
- 5 years of maintenance leadership in progressive roles; 7 years in a manufacturing environment
- Six-sigma Green/Black Belt Certification and Lean Certification a plus
- Knowledge of Fiber Optic Industry desirable
- SAP Experience preferred
- Proficient in MS Office Excel, Word and Power Point; Acute ability to understand and use data for continuous improvement
- Experience working in a Union environment
