Responsibilities
- Develop and implement dynamic, age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional growth.
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management.
- Engage in ongoing lesson planning and assessment to monitor each child's progress in areas such as childhood development and standardized testing readiness.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's development, milestones, and classroom activities to foster strong home-school connections.
- Manage classroom routines effectively while adhering to mandated reporting laws and child welfare standards.
- Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support diverse learning needs.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, incident reports, and lesson plans in compliance with licensing requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, including classroom experience with toddlers and young learners.
- Knowledge of curriculum development, behavior management strategies, and classroom management best practices.
- Familiarity with childhood development principles, literacy education techniques, and the use of standardized testing tools.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in child welfare laws is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Experience teaching physical education or tutoring young children is advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team dedicated to early childhood education excellence.
