Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement evidence-based interventions that promote students' participation and success in their educational environment.
Your responsibilities span across various school settings, interacting with teachers, administrators, parents, and other therapy professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student care. You assist in evaluating students' needs, developing and implementing treatment plans, and monitoring progress towards individualized education program (IEP) goals.

Essential Job Responsibilities
- Providing direct therapy services to students, focusing on improving their functional abilities in areas such as fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
- Collaborating with classroom teachers to integrate occupational therapy strategies into the educational curriculum.
- Assisting in the adaptation of learning environments and materials to enhance student participation and independence.
- Contributing to the IEP process by providing insights on student progress and recommending appropriate interventions.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of student assessments, interventions, and progress.
- Participating in team meetings and professional development activities to stay current with best practices in school-based occupational therapy.
- Associate's Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program
- Maintain AZ COTA license requirements
- Valid AZ IVP Fingerprint card
