Marketing/Communications Manager

Light of Christ Catholic Schools is accepting applications for a Marketing/Communications Manager to lead the storytelling, branding, and communication strategy to strength engagement with families, staff, donors, and the community. This position is responsible for managing content creation, media relations, digital platforms, and enrollment- and fundraising-focused marketing to promote Light of Christ Catholic Schools.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Maintain a unified, positive brand identity across all schools, programs, and communication channels to build recognition.
• Develop annual communication plans that support enrollment goals, fundraising goals, community engagement, crisis readiness, and district initiatives.
• Identify compelling stories from classrooms, staff, students, and alumni to highlight achievements and strengthen community pride.
• Produce newsletters, feature stories, press releases, website and social media content, speeches, and internal communications.
• Create flyers, brochures, ads, presentations, and campaign materials that support enrollment, fundraising, and district initiatives.
• Capture and edit photos and videos that showcase school culture, events, and student success.
• Support leadership in delivering timely, accurate information during emergencies or sensitive situations.
• Maintain social media accounts, create engaging content, monitor analytics, and ensure consistent messaging across schools.
• Manage newsletters, announcements, and targeted email campaigns for families, staff, alumni, and prospective parents and donors.
• Work with principals, enrollment team, mission advancement team, athletics, and administration to support shared goals.
• Oversee timelines, vendors, budgets, and production schedules for communication initiatives.
• Build relationships with local media to pitch positive stories about the schools.
• Represent LOC at community events.
• Provides support and assistance as requested for system-wide projects.
• Maintains strict confidentiality on private matters pertaining to LOC, the schools and its students, staff, and parents.
• Participates in departmental/LOC meetings.
• Meet goals as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Mass Communications, Marketing or related field.
• Minimum of two years related experience. Five years preferred.
• Strong computer skills.
• Strong human relations skills. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Maintain ethical behavior in all interactions.
• Able to develop effective working relationships with others.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several variables.
• Willing to grow in the position.
  
  

Schedule

This is a full-time, 12-month position.
