Duties
- Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility for children and individuals with special needs
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, social skills, and emotional development
- Provide toddler and infant care, including feeding schedules, diapering, and sleep routines
- Implement behavior management techniques to encourage positive conduct and emotional regulation
- Administer basic first aid and CPR in emergency situations following mandated reporting laws and safety protocols
- Support participation in youth programs and early childhood education activities to foster growth and development
- Collaborate with families, teachers, therapists, and healthcare professionals to develop personalized care plans
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children across various settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, or nannying
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience caring for infants, toddlers, and children with disabilities or special needs
- Certification in CPR and first aid from an accredited organization
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child abuse or neglect
- Strong communication skills to effectively teach, guide, and support children’s growth
- Ability to manage behavior positively while maintaining patience and empathy
