Duties & Responsibilities
- Layout/manufacturing of electric overhead bridge cranes
- Perform welding tasks on various materials, such as steel, aluminum, and other metals, using various welding processes (GMAW, SAW, FCAW,) to meet precise quality standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to fabricate custom parts and assemblies for overhead cranes, lifting equipment, and other industrial applications.
- Assemble fabricated components into final products, ensuring structural integrity and alignment.
- Inspect and test welds and finished products to ensure adherence to safety standards, specifications, and quality control requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fabrication equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations while working in a fabrication shop or on-site to ensure a safe work environment.
- Troubleshoot fabrication issues and identify solutions to maintain workflow and quality.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints for layout, cut, and various metal shapes and sizes
- Proven experience as a welder and fabricator in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques and metalworking processes, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to follow OSHA guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and quality assurance practices.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Driver’s License, required.
