Summary:
Lift-A-Loft Corporation is seeking a technician to join our service team. This person will help support existing Lift-A-Loft customers and dealers in the US and around the world to maximize up time on the aerial lifts and other specialty equipment manufactured by the company. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills and work with the Lift-A-Loft team to trouble shoot problems and provide hands-on assistance in the field when required.
Location and Employment:
- Muncie, IN.
- Full-time.
- Salary, plus commission will be paid on inspections in the field.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Learn and understand Lift-A-Loft hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems through on the job training.
- In the first 90 days, will work both in the office and in the manufacturing facility to learn the products and how they are produced.
- Will make outbound calls to existing customers to schedule annual field inspections.
- Work with customers over the phone or through E-mails to answer questions and offer suggestions to fix problems and put equipment back in service.
- Travel to customer locations to support warranty repairs and paid service jobs.
- Perform annual inspections on equipment both at the factory and in the field.
- Conduct maintenance reviews and provide maintenance training for some customers
- Help support Lift-A-Loft parts department, sales and manufacturing with information and tasks as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of relevant experience working on mobile hydraulic equipment.
- Technical training and ability to read blueprints.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers.
- Professional manner and appearance.
- Must be a dependable independent worker.
- Must be willing and able to travel.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk regularly; may occasionally stoop, bend, or reach above shoulders.
- Ability to travel both short and long distances.
- Ability to operate both hand tools and power tools.
- Must be willing to operate equipment at elevated heights.
- May occasionally lift up to 25 pounds

This position will be both in the office, on the manufacturing floor and in the field. The noise level in the immediate office area is quiet. The shop floor noise is low to moderate. Field service work will vary and any and all PPE will be provided.
