Job Summary:
LIFEwest is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented HR Assistant to support our Human Resource and Operations Teams. This role is ideal for a college student, recent graduate or someone looking to gain hands-on experience in administration, recruiting, onboarding and supporting the day-to-day operations. You will play a key role in helping to create a smooth and positive employee experience while supporting our HR and Operations teams. Location: Cotati, CA (Onsite)
Key Responsibilities:
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
- Assist with job postings across job boards and company career pages
- Screen resumes and coordinate interview scheduling
- Help coordinate and facilitate our EMR/EMT interview day
- Communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process
- Maintain applicant tracking systems and candidate records
- Support recruiting events such as career fairs, and outreach initiatives
Onboarding & Employee Experience
- Help coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding processes
- Prepare onboarding materials and employee documentation
- Ensure completion and accuracy of new hire paperwork
- Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and initiatives
HR/Operations Administration
- Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality
- Support HR documentation, reporting, and compliance tracking
- Assist with employee inquiries
- Provide general administrative support to HR and Operations teams
- Support and contribute to other projects as assigned
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of human resources or administrative experience
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, but not required
- Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take initiative
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of attention to detail and confidentiality

- Previous EMS experience preferred but not required
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, twist and turn.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to use a computer keyboard and calculator.
- Work environment is indoors, majority of the time is spent sitting at a desk.
Compensation
This is an non-exempt (hourly) position with an hourly rate range of $25/hr to $28/hr. The compensation offered will fall within this range commensurate with the candidate's applicable experience, education and skills.
