What are the responsibilities and job description for the DSP (Direct Care Worker) Level 2 position at Lifeway Services LLC?
As a Direct Support Professional Level 2, you will work with behaviorally challenged individuals. Lifeway Services LLC, is a Residential Care Agency for the intellectually disabled and adults with autism. We are actively seeking dependable and responsible caregivers.
DSP - Level 2 Requirements:
- Minimum of two years experience working with individuals with challenging behaviors
- Experience in crisis response
- Experience in de-escalation and physical intervention techniques
- Competency in handling highly difficult behavioral episodes in crisis situations (physical aggression)
- Ability to be certified in physical restraints
- Ability to pass a physical rigor test
- Open Availability- must be able to work all shifts
- Ability to work in both Punxsutawney and New Bethlehem areas
- Age 18 or older
- Must have valid Drivers License
- Proof of auto insurance, valid vehicle registration and state inspection
DSP - Level 2 Responsibilities
- Implementation of Behavioral Support Plan
- Open Availability
- Primary working location will be Punxsutawney but the ideal candidate must be willing to work in both Punxsutawney and New Bethlehem locations as needed
- Assist clients with daily living activities (cooking, cleaning and training in self independence)
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs and preferences.
- Monitor clients' physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Support clients in social activities and community engagement to promote inclusion and independence.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and progress towards goals.
- Paperwork including daily documentation, recording and administering daily medication.
