LifeTree Inc., is an ultra-fast growing home health agency seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Controller to join our team. As the Controller, you will be responsible for performing accounting tasks and taking on the full range of responsibilities, as well as overseeing all financial aspects of our organization and ensuring its financial health and stability. You will work closely with the executive team to develop and execute financial strategies that align with our business goals and objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach to all tasks and a strong background in accounting, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving financial success, while taking care of all accounting related tasks. We are looking for someone that is down-to-earth and has no issues making QB entries, reconciling, cutting checks and all day-to-day tasks while providing insight, reports and financial statements to the senior management team.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic financial guidance and support to the executive team to pursue growth
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls
- Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management with CEO
- Conduct financial analysis to identify risks and opportunities for improvement
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Manage relationships with auditors, and other financial institutions as required
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and reporting requirements
- Provide mentorship and guidance to drive performance from various company departments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA required
- Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar senior finance role
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
- In-depth knowledge of financial principles (GAAP) and practices
- Experience in tax accounting, cost accounting, payroll management, regulatory reporting, and financial planning
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex financial data
- Proficient in financial modeling and forecasting techniques
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to drive favorable outcomes
- Solid understanding of supply chain management principles
