A grounded, organized Omaha family is seeking a warm, engaging nanny to provide dedicated, learning-oriented care for their two children, ages almost 4 and 2. The family hopes to build a long-term relationship with a caregiver who connects deeply with the children and feels confident making thoughtful decisions independently.
Location: Omaha, NE, with travel to the family’s other residences and occasional time aboard their yacht
Start date: Ideally November 1, 2026, with flexibility for a transition period
Schedule: A 5-on/2-off rotational schedule, generally between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., including alternating weekends. Flexibility for evenings, travel, and occasional overnight care is important.

About the family
Both children attend Montessori preschool in the mornings. They are curious and enjoy hands-on activities, enriching outings, and opportunities to explore new topics. Their parents value a healthy lifestyle and are raising their children to be empathetic, capable, and independent.
The nanny will join a collaborative household team that includes a housekeeper, a chef, and other rotational nannies. The family maintains homes in Nebraska, Texas, the Cayman Islands, and Canada, and travels regularly. They value clear communication, professionalism, and a caregiver’s expertise.
The role
Plan engaging, age-appropriate activities, outings, and rotating learning themes- Support morning and after-school routines
- Encourage each child’s curiosity, confidence, and independence
- Prepare children’s meals and keep their spaces tidy and organized
- Help coordinate activities, handle occasional child-related errands, and pack for travel
- Travel with the family and work collaboratively with the household team
Ideal candidate
You are a warm, energetic professional who enjoys learning through play and can take initiative throughout the day. You communicate clearly, adapt well to travel and changing environments, and connect naturally with young children.
Candidates should have at least three years of professional childcare experience, a valid driver’s license and passport, travel and family-assisting experience, and the ability to swim and supervise children around water. Experience in a staffed household and a background in education are valued. Familiarity with Montessori or RIE approaches is a plus.
Candidates must be comfortable living in while on rotation. Family members, partners, and pets cannot stay in accommodations provided for the nanny.
Qualifications
- 3 years of professional childcare experience.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
