Responsibilities

- Lead daily classroom activities with enthusiasm, ensuring a positive, engaging environment that encourages curiosity and learning.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques, fostering respect, cooperation, and independence among children.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns to promote transparency and collaborative support.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and staff to maintain high standards of classroom management and instructional quality.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare while maintaining accurate documentation of incidents or concerns.
- Incorporate specialized areas such as special education or early intervention strategies to support diverse learning needs.
- Conduct ongoing assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor developmental progress and inform instructional adjustments.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health protocols including first aid and CPR certification requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to plan lessons that integrate physical education, literacy education, math activities, and childhood development principles.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings such as preschools or private schools.
- Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
- Knowledge of childhood development stages, special education needs, early intervention strategies, and child welfare practices.
- Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration.
- Valid certifications in first aid and CPR; familiarity with mandated reporting laws is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a classroom effectively while fostering a nurturing environment for young learners.
