Experienced Garage Door Installer

We are looking for an experienced Garage Door Installer to join our team. This position is for candidates who have hands-on experience installing residential and/or commercial garage doors.

Requirements:

• Previous professional garage door installation experience required
• Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to safely lift and handle heavy materials
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Essential Responsibilities

· Install residential garage doors, sectional doors, garage door openers, and related hardware and accessories. Attend to warranty calls.

· Remove existing garage doors and related components as required for replacement installations.

· Install and properly adjust tracks, springs, cables, rollers, hinges, drums, brackets, weather seals, and other door components.

· Measure garage door openings and verify that materials and equipment are appropriate for the installation.

· Inspect materials and equipment before beginning work and identify missing, damaged, or incorrect components.

· Follow manufacturer specifications, company installation procedures, and applicable safety requirements.

· Ensure doors are properly aligned, balanced, secured, and operating correctly before completing the installation.

· Load, unload, transport, and safely handle doors, hardware, tools, and equipment.

· Maintain accurate documentation of materials used and work completed. – Service fusion

· Communicate with homeowners regarding installation requirements, operation, basic maintenance, and proper use of the garage door and opener. – collect COD when applicable

· Protect customer property and maintain a clean and professional work area (leave job better and cleaner than when you arrived) trucks

· Identify installation issues, unusual conditions, or additional work requirements and communicate them to the appropriate supervisor.

· Properly account for and document materials and parts used on each job.

· Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment.

· Safely operate company vehicles and equipment when assigned.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Customer Service Responsibilities

· Maintain a professional and courteous manner while working in and around customers' homes.

· Opinions communicate with Rick/Quinn/Office

· Communicate clearly with homeowners regarding the installation process and expected completion.

· Answer basic customer questions regarding door operation and maintenance.

· Demonstrate the proper operation of the completed installation.

· Address customer concerns professionally and communicate unresolved issues to management.

· Maintain customer property in a clean and respectful manner.
