Dental Hygienist

Lifetime Dentistry is seeking a part-time Dental Hygienist to support our clinical team and help deliver high-quality patient care in Muscatine, IA. In this role, you’ll focus on preventive oral health services while partnering with the dental team to ensure every patient has a positive, comfortable experience.

Success looks like providing thorough, patient-centered hygiene care; maintaining accurate clinical documentation; and supporting smooth day-to-day operations through clear communication and professionalism.

• Provide dental cleanings and preventive services in accordance with established clinical protocols.
• Assess patients’ oral health needs by reviewing medical histories and conducting periodontal evaluations.
• Take and prepare dental radiographs as directed, following safety and quality standards.
• Screen for oral disease indicators and communicate findings to the supervising dentist.
• Perform periodontal therapy tasks and support treatment planning through routine hygiene care.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment recommendations.
• Apply sealants, fluoride treatments, and other preventive services as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records and document clinical findings and services performed.
• Follow infection control and sterilization procedures to maintain a safe clinical environment.
• Prepare treatment rooms and instruments to support efficient patient flow and team coordination.
• Support patient comfort by using clear communication and compassionate chairside care.

• Valid dental hygienist license as required in Iowa.
• Relevant education in dental hygiene (e.g., accredited dental hygiene program).
• Experience providing dental hygiene services (years of experience not specified).
• Knowledge of preventive dentistry, periodontal assessment, and infection control standards.
• Ability to take and process dental radiographs safely and accurately.
• Comfort using common dental software and electronic health records (specific tools not specified).
