What are the responsibilities and job description for the AI Intern - Human Resources position at LifeStyles Healthcare?
Job Description
Position: AI Intern — Human Resources
Position Reports to: Chief People Officer
Department: Human Resources
Location: New York City — Hybrid (3 days in office)
About the Role
Lifestyles is building an AI Lab to transform how we operate — and HR is one of the first functions leading that shift.
This intern role sits inside the People team, supporting a global HR function spanning multiple regions as we prepare for a strategic exit and embed AI into how we work.
You'll get real exposure to people analytics, HR operations, compliance, and M&A-readiness — and you'll use AI tools to do it.
This is a hands-on role for someone who's curious about both the human side of business and the technology reshaping it.
What You'll Do
HR Data & Analytics
- Analyze global HR datasets — headcount, hiring, turnover, compensation, engagement, performance — to identify trends, risks, and workforce insights
- Build dashboards and visual summaries that translate complex people data into clear outputs for HR leadership and executive audiences
Data Quality
- Clean, organize, and standardize employee data across HRIS, payroll, and recruitment systems to improve accuracy and consistency
- Flag and resolve duplicate, incomplete, or inconsistent records ahead of diligence and reporting cycles.
AI & Process Improvement
- Map current HR workflows and identify opportunities to automate, simplify, or improve them using AI tools
- Prototype and test AI-assisted solutions — drafting prompts, building templates, and documenting outputs for broader adoption across the HR team.
Compliance Support
- Help track country-specific employment requirements, policy updates, and data privacy obligations across our global regions
- Support compliance documentation, audit preparation, and issue tracking with structured reporting and AI-assisted summaries.
Exit Readiness
- Assist in preparing HR diligence materials including workforce summaries, org charts, risk registers, and compliance checklists
- Support project tracking and coordination across HR workstreams tied to acquisition preparation.
What We're Looking For
- Pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business, Data Science, Psychology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Genuine interest in people and organizations — not just the data, but what it means for how companies run
- Comfortable working with data: Excel is a must; exposure to Power BI, or HRIS systems
- Hands-on experience with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or D365
- Clear communicator who can organize information and present it simply — to HR colleagues and to senior leaders
- Discreet and trustworthy — this role handles sensitive employee information across multiple geographies
- Organized, curious, and comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-moving environment
- Prior HR or AI internship experience is a requirement.
Why This Role
You'll work directly inside a global People function during a period of real transformation — not on simulated case studies, but on live business problems. If you want to understand how AI is changing HR from the inside, this is the role.
