What are the responsibilities and job description for the In-Home Sales Representative — Whole House Water Systems position at Lifestyle Water System?
Lifestyle Water System is hiring an in-home sales representative for the Summerville and Charleston Lowcountry. We install whole-house water filtration, water softeners, salt-free conditioners, and well-water treatment so homeowners get cleaner, better-tasting water at every tap.
This is not a retail or call-center job. You will sit with homeowners in their house, review their water, recommend the right system, and close the sale. We are only hiring people who have already sold home improvement in the customer’s home.
What you will do
- Run in-home consultations across Summerville, Charleston, and the Lowcountry.
- Test and explain the home’s water, then recommend a whole-house filtration, softener, salt-free conditioner, or well-water system.
- Present pricing, handle objections, and close on the appointment.
- Set installation expectations and hand the job to the install team.
- Follow up on unsold appointments and keep a clean pipeline.
- Represent LWS with honest recommendations.
Requirements — must have
- In-home home improvement sales experience is required. This means in-house, one-call-close sales done inside the customer’s home — not floor sales and not phone sales.
- A track record selling home improvement in the home: water treatment, windows, baths, roofing, siding, HVAC, solar, kitchens, or similar.
- Comfortable leading a full presentation and asking for the sale on the same visit.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and willingness to cover the Charleston metro.
- Professional appearance in customers’ homes.
- Able to pass a background check.
Nice to have
- Water treatment, plumbing, or well-water sales.
- Prior work in Summerville, Charleston, Goose Creek, or Mount Pleasant.
- Experience on company leads and self-generated appointments.
Who should not apply
Retail, call-center, and general customer-service experience do not meet the requirement. If you have not sold home improvement inside a customer’s home, this role is not a fit.
