Job Purpose:
Key Responsibilities:
- Beacon Point at LifeStream offers traditional outpatient treatment services to adults age 18 and over for substance abuse and/or mental illness diagnoses. The MS Therapist Licensed is responsible for providing high-quality mental health services to individuals experiencing a range of psychological issues. The role involves assessing, diagnosing, and creating personalized treatment plans to support clients in achieving improved mental health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients' mental health needs and challenges.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based therapeutic practices.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions to clients with diverse backgrounds and mental health conditions.
- Monitor and evaluate clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and case managers, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
- Participate in regular supervision and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mental health therapy to apply best practices in treatment.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal guidelines in the provision of mental health services.
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed to clients experiencing acute mental health episodes.
Required Education:
Required Experience:
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure as a Mental Health Counselor, Clinical Social Worker, or Marriage and Family Therapist in the state.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of two years of post-graduate experience in a therapeutic setting.
- Experience working with individuals with mental health disorders, preferably in a clinical or community mental health environment.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing treatment plans for clients with diverse backgrounds and needs.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques and evidence-based practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to conduct assessments and provide appropriate interventions for clients.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate and confidential client records.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment.
