Home Health Aide

Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential care and support to individuals in their homes. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for patients by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety. This position requires a strong commitment to caregiving, attention to detail, and adherence to health regulations.

Duties

• Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting assistance.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper medication management.
• Maintain accurate medical records and document patient observations and care provided.
• Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure patient safety.
• Prepare meals and assist with nutritional needs according to dietary restrictions.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
• Observe and report any changes in the patient's condition or behavior to the healthcare team.
• Engage patients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in home health care or caregiving is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and basic medical procedures is advantageous.
• Ability to perform patient observation effectively, recognizing changes in health status.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others maintain their independence at home.
• Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
