Lifesteps is hiring a Full-Time Child Care Staff member for the Early Education center in Butler, PA.

Position Summary:
The Child Care Assistant provides a high quality of care to enrolled children. Ensures the needs of the children are being met and assists in the implementation and direction of daily routines and activities.
This full-time position works a schedule of Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. No weekends, No Evenings, No Holidays.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Candidate shall meet one of the following criteria:
- Possession of a Child Development Associate’s (CDA) certificate
- High School Diploma and 2 years of experience working with children (paid or unpaid)
- Completion of at least 2 years of full-time postsecondary study (60 credits) in a related field
- Possession of an associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood, Special Education, Family Studies, Elementary Education, Sociology, Psychology, or any other Education or Human Service related major
- Demonstrated ability to complete basic computer tasks
- Possess strong communications skills (verbal and written); able to communicate information to a diverse audience
Preferred:
- One or more years’ experience teaching in an integrated classroom setting
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education
- Private Academic Teacher Certification in Nursery/Kinder
