Lifesteps is hiring a Temp Assistant Group Supervisor Sub to work in the new classroom at BC3 this fall.
Lifesteps is growing! A new preschool program is opening next school year within the Butler County Community College location in Butler, PA.
Lifesteps is hiring a full-time Teacher Aide (also known as Child Care Assistant or Assistant Group Supervisor) to work Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, in the preschool classroom inside BC3. This position works during the school year only. Summers off work.
Job duties include:
- the care and supervision of children, ages 3 years to 5 years old
- assisting with lesson planning and creating fun activities
- teaching early education concepts (colors, letters, numbers, etc.)
- supervising indoor and outdoor play time
- informing parents about the child's day
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- High School Diploma/GED and two years of experience working with children - can be paid or unpaid work such as Summer Camps, Church Nursery, Babysitting, Bible School, Volunteering with children, etc.
- Ability to lift or move up to 30 pounds without assistance
- Ability to provide acceptable state clearances
- Able to multi-task and work in a team environment.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or Human Services field
- Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or Human Services field OR 60 credits
