Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Front Desk / Medical Receptionist role located in Bentonville, AR. The Front Desk / Medical Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients, greeting them warmly, checking them in and out, verifying insurance information, and updating demographic and medical records in the practice management system. Daily responsibilities include answering and routing phone calls, managing voicemails, scheduling and rescheduling appointments, and providing accurate information about clinic processes within the scope of the role. The position also supports the clinical team by preparing charts, confirming appointments, collecting copayments, and coordinating patient flow to ensure timely visits. Additional duties may include handling patient forms, obtaining necessary signatures, maintaining a clean and organized reception area, and assisting with other administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience with core front desk and Receptionist Duties, including greeting patients, check-in/check-out, and managing patient flow.
- Strong Phone Etiquette skills, including professional communication, accurate message taking, and efficient call routing.
- Proficiency in Appointment Scheduling, including booking, confirming, rescheduling, and coordinating follow-up visits.
- Familiarity with Medical Terminology and working in a Medical Office environment or similar healthcare setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in medical office administration is a plus.
- Comfort using electronic health records (EMR) and standard office software; ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and reliability in handling confidential patient information (HIPAA awareness).
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to support patients and team members in a respectful, inclusive manner.
