This position will report to the Accounting Manager and will work closely with a strong, motivated finance team.
SUMMARY:
LifeSpanMD is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our finance team and take direct ownership of the accounting close across an assigned portfolio of concierge medicine practices.
Key responsibilities:
- Own the full-cycle bookkeeping for a portfolio of concierge medical practices, including accounts payable, payroll processing, banking activity, credit card reconciliations, and month-end close
- Serve as the primary accounting point of contact for practice-level colleagues, including office managers and physicians, ensuring timely bill payment, accurate payroll, and smooth day-to-day financial operations
- Prepare and maintain routine financial schedules, account reconciliations, and operational reports across assigned practices
- When applicable, participate in the integration of newly acquired practices into LifeSpanMD's accounting infrastructure, including onboarding to standardized systems and processes
- Support ongoing efforts to improve efficiency through AP automation and AI-enabled accounting workflows, with the goal of building a scalable, technology-forward finance function
- Partner with the Accounting Manager and CFO on key finance initiatives, including enhanced reporting, practice-level collaboration, and process improvements that scale with the business
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2 years of relevant accounting experience
- General comfort with accounting software required; QuickBooks experience a plus
- Strong Excel skills required
- Experience with payroll processing preferred
- Multi-entity or multi-location environment experience a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both finance colleagues and non-finance practice staff such as office managers and physicians
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities across a portfolio of accounts
Salary : $65,000 - $85,000
