What You'll Do

• Provide Skilled SLP Care: Perform comprehensive in-home evaluations for geriatric patients with cognitive, dysphagia, aphasia, or dysarthria.
• Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Create and execute effective strategies to improve communication, cognitive-linguistic skills, and swallowing function over multiple visits.
• Manage Your Visits: Schedule and conduct home visits at times that work for you and your patients.
• Collaborate for Success: Work with a supportive team to ensure coordinated care and optimize patient outcomes.
• Document Efficiently:Use one simple EMR system for all notes (with tools available to minimize documentation time!)

What You'll Need

• Valid California Speech-Language Pathology license
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is required for home health.
• CPR or BLS certification
• Driver's license and auto insurance
• Physical TB test (within the last year)
• Professional liability and business license (if applicable)

Where You'll Be Working

We're looking for a clinician to cover South Bay San Diego, which includes Chula Vista, National City, and Imperial Beach. This is a diverse area with a moderate, community-focused pace. You'll be working in a region known for its authentic Mexican food and proximity to the border. Traffic can be a challenge, but the area offers a unique cultural experience and a strong sense of community. Located near the U.S.-Mexico border, this region has a substantial Hispanic and Filipino population. Spanish and Tagalog would both be great languages to serve this community.
