About Us: Our outpatient programs provide clients with opportunities to expand independent living skills while increasing their responsibilities. Clients may admit directly to the outpatient programs or based on clinical need, may step down from intensive residential treatment. At Lifeskills Delray Beach: Outpatient, we offer a partial hospitalization program (PHP) as well as an intensive outpatient program (IOP). Clients can live in our transitional living community, Osceola House, while attending PHP and IOP.

 

Position Summary

The Associate Clinical Director is responsible for assisting in the supervision of the entire clinical team. Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, the Associate Clinical Director is responsible for the accurate documentation of the facilities treatment process. The Associate Clinical Director of Clinical assists in the managerial oversight of the program, its patients and providers. The position maintains compliance with all DCF requirements, CARF compliance and applies best-practice standards and research-based therapeutic modalities to the program.

 

Relationships and Contacts

Within the organization:  Initiates and maintains frequent and close working relationships with other residential staff and clients.

Outside the organization:  Maintains working relationships with community partners, referral sources and company vendors.

Position Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities

  1. Perform the necessary activities which bring services, agencies, resources, or people together towards the achievement of treatment goals.
  2. Fully understands the policies and expectations associated with the on-call responsibility. Available to effectively respond to all calls.
  3. Associate Clinical Director will be assigned caseload up to 8 clients. Associate Clinical Director acknowledges that this number is subject to change as census dictates.
  4. Makes presentations and lectures to the clinical team as directed by the Clinical Director.
  5. Participates in individual and group supervision as per policy and integrates direction from supervisor into clinical practice.
  6. Upon the absence/delegation of the Clinical Director, the Associate Clinical Director will engage in various leadership roles including, but not limited to
      1. Administering morning clinical meeting
      2. Running the weekly clinical treatment review meeting
      3. Providing clinical audits and analysis
      4. Giving programming input and feedback
      5. Providing direction, supervision to clinical staff
  7. Provides Clinical Supervision to psychology interns and other staff, as requested by the Clinical Director
  8. Provides battery of psychological tests to Lifeskills residential clients.
  9. Ensures clinical program is in compliance wth DCF, CARF, and organization policies.
  10. Annually reviews the Policy & Procedure Manual in reference to clinical programs (with Executive Committee & Medical Director)

Additional Responsibilities

  1. Functions within the guidelines of the facility’s Code of Ethics and in accordance with corporate compliance.
  2. Represents the program within the community at local, regional, and national eating disorder-oriented events.
  3. Assists in promoting and ensuring the organization’s values, mission, goals and objectives are understood and actively supported by the employees. 
  4. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

What We Are Seeking/ Education and Experience

Position requires a Master’s Degree, PhD, PsyD, EdD or a Master’s Degree; license or working toward license (MFT, LPC, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT) in the state of Florida. Position requires a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a behavioral healthcare setting, preferably with clients with mental health and substance use disorders, strongly preferred.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to communicate with peers, clients and/or vendors.
  • Job performance will require the ability to move throughout the building.
  • Performs duties that require the employee to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • May sit or remain stationary for periods of time.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to talk or hear, sit, stand, walk, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste, or smell.
  • Ability to move up to twenty-five pounds.

Other Requirements

Position requires a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.

  • Care Planning and Intervention – develops and implements evidence-informed care plans that promote clinical excellence throughout the client-centered continuum of care. Care plans outline necessary steps, identified collaboratively with the care team, to achieve objectives identified in the biopsychosocial assessment. Leverage evidence-informed, clinically excellent treatment interventions.
  • Advocacy – advocates for the needs and interest of clients and families to promotes clinical excellence through improved outcomes, access to care, and service delivery. Participates in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing client outcomes and strengthening clinical service delivery.
  • Interdisciplinary and Interorganizational Collaboration – promotes cross functional collaboration among team members and referral partners to support and enhance clinical service delivery and support.
