What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Clinical Services position at Lifeskills Group?
Responsible for overseeing clinical operations for behavioral health service centers and working with other BH leadership to implement strategies to further LifeSkills mission. Will directly supervise outpatient services coordinators.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit and retain qualified Coordinators of Outpatient Services to achieve the mission and goals of LifeSkills and the Behavioral Health Division.
- Oversee daily outpatient therapy operations indirectly Coordinator of Outpatient Services and directly through personal contact.
- Work with Coordinators of Outpatient Services to ensure outpatient therapist processes are standardized across the company.
- Responsible for ensuring service centers are in compliance with all applicable federal, state, ethical and other standards and regulations.
- Complete performance evaluations on all supervised staff at least annually, more frequently if necessary.
- Oversee daily outpatient therapy operations and monitor revenues, expenses, service trends, program reports, client demographics and other data to ensure financial accountability and staff productivity of the division.
- Assist supervisor in development of relevant budgets.
- Work collaboratively with other directors to improve client access to services and ensure productivity of staff.
- Work collaboratively with quality personnel to improve clinical outcomes and to meet standards of corporate compliance as recommended.
- Contribute to short and long-term organizational planning and strategy as a member of the management team.
- Direct outpatient therapy services.
- Initiate and/or monitor compliance with community partner agreements when relevant.
- Monitor state required and payer required benchmarks and performance indicators in relation to outpatient therapy services.
- Provide direct service/therapy to clients as needed.
- Work proactively to address employee and consumer complaints.
Additional Functions:
- Ensure appropriate and timely communication of BH and organizational information to employees.
- Attend meetings, conferences and other professional and organizational functions.
- Develop and maintain positive relationship with agencies including but not limited to school systems, justice systems, hospitals, DCBS and other local businesses and community partners.
- Provide Clinical Supervision as needed/requested/able
- Minimum of a master’s degree in a mental health related field with 5 years clinical experience.
- Licensed to practice therapy in the state of Kentucky.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, knowledge and commitment to overarching principals and mission of LifeSkills Behavioral Health Division.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
