HR Compliance & Benefits Specialist

Own the full picture of employee benefits and compliance — and build real expertise doing it.

LifeSkills Connection, Inc. is looking for an HR Compliance & Benefits Specialist to join our growing HR team. You'll be the go-to person for employee benefits questions, help keep us on track with federal and multi-state compliance, and work closely with our HR Generalist and VP of HR — not as a solo operator, but as a real team.

What You'll Do

• Be the friendly, knowledgeable point of contact for employee benefits questions — our benefits broker handles the vendor relationships, so you're not on your own

• Own our compliance calendar for federal contractor and multi-state requirements — we'll train you on the specifics, no prior expertise required

• Help process payroll for a defined group of employees, with full review and support from our Finance team

• Guide employees through leave and accommodation requests (FMLA, ADA, state leave programs)

• Keep our records, audits, and documentation in great shape

• Grow into deeper compliance expertise over your first year, with structured training every step of the way

What You'll Bring

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience; Bachelor's a plus, not required

• Strong organizational skills and comfort with detail and deadlines

• A genuine interest in learning regulatory and compliance topics — we don't expect you to know this already

• Prior exposure to benefits, payroll, or compliance work is a plus, not a requirement
