Design Production Specialist

Position: Graphic Production Specialist

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports To: Operations Manager

Position Description: Responsible for preparing, producing, and finishing printed materials using computer software and production equipment. This position works closely with team members to complete customer orders and support business operations across multiple platforms, with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and high-quality results.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate design software and printing equipment to complete customer orders and internal projects
• Assist with scheduling and job prioritization to meet deadlines and company objectives
• Provide input and ideas to improve productivity, job flow, and overall production efficiency
• Support the execution of marketing materials and signage for LifeSkills Connection and its subsidiaries
• Ensure all output meets quality standards for design, layout, and finishing
• Interact with customers to gather order details, troubleshoot issues, and provide friendly, professional service
• Record customer feedback and escalate concerns to the Operations Director when needed
• Collaborate with team members on printing, finishing, packaging, and shipping of materials
• Assist with basic website updates, email communications, and marketing
• Monitor and maintain inventory of materials required for production jobs; initiate supply orders to ensure continuous workflow and job completion
• Check incoming supply orders for accuracy and quality; properly store and organize materials in designated locations
• Maintain and troubleshoot office and production equipment; coordinate service as needed
• Answer incoming calls, assist walk-in customers, and relay messages or requests to the appropriate staff
• Keep work areas organized and stocked with necessary supplies
• Employ strong project management skills
• Support packaging and shipping needs of customers
• Follow all policies and procedures set forth by Options Ink and LifeSkills Connection to ensure compliance, safety, and operational consistency
• Perform other duties or special projects as assigned
  
  
  

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent eye for detail
• Basic understanding of design and layout principles
• Proficient using Microsoft Office and basic design programs (eg., Canva, Adobe Express, or similar)
• Work efficiently, both independently and with team members
• Good organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to meet deadlines
• Willing to use feedback to improve
• Punctual and dependable
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  
  
  

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in printing, production, or related field preferred
• No formal design training/degree required – on-the-job training provided
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with design or production software a plus
