What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Manager Trainer position at LIFESHARE BLOOD CENTER?
Trains Account Managers (AM) on all mobile collection calendars, including planning, goal setting, projection accuracy, and units collected for achievement of daily and monthly collection goals across the system. Identifies opportunities for more effective and efficient calendar builds resulting in greater prediction and projection accuracy.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Initially trains AM’s on account management duties including but not limited to: HemaCollect, Drive Chair Management, goals, scheduling of accounts, and marketing.
- Develops, mentors and coaches Account Manager team members as needed.
- Helps new AM to identify opportunities to add additional blood drives and units to the calendar.
- Helps recruit blood drive partners in vacant AM territories.
- Evaluates collections strategies across the LifeShare system – even focusing on individual zip codes to ensure LifeShare blood drives are being planned/executed according to need and growth strategy
- Communicates with Regional Directors and other leadership on calendar progress, opportunities, short comings, concerns, etc. and provides analytics as needed.
- May be asked to assist Account Managers and/or Regional Directors in the execution/development of critical or challenging accounts.
- Operates a Company or personal vehicle to travel within the organization and to various business meetings outside of the organization.
Qualifications:
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:
- Associate’s degree in business, communications or related field, plus
- At least three (3) years of relevant experience in management or administration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential job duties.
- Prior blood banking or healthcare management experience preferred
- Good understanding and knowledge of sales preferred
- Demonstrated effectiveness in written and verbal communications
- Demonstrated organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Must be self-motivated and dependable
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of donor and Company information at all times
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and Outlook); ability to learn and utilize industry specific software applications.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORKING CONDITIONS / ENVIRONMENT:
- Work is generally performed in an office environment.
- Requires flexible, irregular hours, including weekends as necessary
- Must be able to use telephone and PC for data entry and retrieval
- Low risk of exposure to infectious diseases from blood and blood products
- Requires occasional travel to other centers and facilities; must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable by our commercial auto insurance carrier
