Art Director (Creative Team – Healthcare/Biotech)
We are a fast-growing, NYC-based communications agency with a global reach, seeking an ambitious and detail-driven Art Director to join our dynamic team. This role resides within our shared services department (creative digital), supporting our integrated communications team.
In this role, you will partner closely with our Creative Director and cross-functional teams to concept, guide, and execute compelling visual solutions that support communications strategies in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This position is ideal for a highly motivated creative with strong design foundations who is ready to step into a more conceptual, leadership-driven role.
Qualifications & Competencies
- BFA in a design-related field and 7-10 years of professional experience in graphic design, visual communication, or art direction
- A polished portfolio demonstrating strong conceptual thinking, brand development, and multi-platform design
- Expert-level Adobe Creative Suite skills—especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, and Figma
- Skilled at developing unified visual brand systems, and narrative-driven creative
- Comfortable working in Microsoft Office—particularly PowerPoint
- A flexible aesthetic range with the ability to adapt to multiple brand voices
- A growth mindset and desire to continuously expand your creative toolkit
- Strong time-management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in generating ideas
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate creative rationale to cross-functional partners and clients
- Ability to give and receive direction, incorporate feedback, and navigate differing viewpoints
- Collaborative, team-first mindset

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Creative Director to shape creative concepts, brand identities, and design systems across the healthcare portfolio
- Lead and support the development of logos, websites, visual identities, social media assets, campaigns, and other assets for emerging biotech and commercial pharma companies
- Work with developers to concept and design corporate landing pages and websites
- Oversee the creation of corporate and product materials
- Guide the visual direction of marketing materials across 40 brands, ensuring consistency and high creative standards
- Maintain and evolve brand style guidelines, ensuring cohesive design across platforms
- Provide constructive feedback to designers, developers, and freelancers
- Collaborate with account and digital teams to develop strategic, visually compelling solutions for client needs
- Provide direction, and feedback to designers and freelancers as needed
- Participate in and facilitate brainstorming sessions for new creative initiatives
- Help support the pitch process as needed
- Shepherd projects from concept through execution—including refinement, production, and file preparation

Salary : $120,000 - $130,000
