Position Overview
LifePointe Counseling, LLC is seeking a psychiatrist to join our established multidisciplinary outpatient behavioral health practice.
This opportunity is designed for a psychiatrist interested in maintaining a limited, recurring outpatient schedule within a well-supported private-practice environment. Scheduling may consist of one full day per week, one half-day per week, or another mutually agreeable arrangement.
The psychiatrist would primarily provide care to adults. Treatment of adolescents or children may also be incorporated based on the physician’s training, experience, and professional interests.
Our current psychiatrist is transitioning away from routine direct patient care but will remain involved with the practice in a limited collaborative capacity, allowing for continuity and transition support.
Responsibilities

- Provide outpatient medication management and follow-up care
- Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Coordinate care with therapists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, primary care providers, pharmacies, and other professionals as appropriate
- Maintain compliance with applicable professional, legal, ethical, and payer requirements
- Participate in limited clinical collaboration or consultation as needed
Practice Support

- An established referral and intake stream
- Patient scheduling and front-office support
- Insurance verification and administrative intake assistance
- Claims submission, billing, payment posting, and accounts-receivable follow-up
- Credentialing and payer-enrollment support
- Electronic health record and electronic prescribing systems
- Furnished professional office space
- Collaboration with psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, therapists, and experienced administrative staff
- Flexibility in developing a sustainable recurring schedule and caseload
Qualifications
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited psychiatry residency program
- Board certified or board eligible in psychiatry
- Active, unrestricted Missouri medical license or ability to obtain one
- Active DEA registration or ability to obtain one
- Experience providing psychiatric evaluations and medication management to adult patients
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, documentation, and collaborative-care skills
- Commitment to compassionate, ethical, patient-centered outpatient care
Experience treating children or adolescents is welcomed but is not required.
Compensation and Contractor Relationship
This is a 1099 independent-contractor position. Compensation will be based on an agreed percentage of collected patient and insurance receipts.
The selected psychiatrist will retain meaningful autonomy over scheduling, clinical decision-making, and caseload development within the practice’s operational, ethical, and compliance requirements.
Because this is an independent-contractor position, traditional employee benefits are not provided.
