How you’ll contribute

A Neurophysiology Technician who excels in this role:

  • Prepare for the arrival of the patient by setting up and preparing the equipment for the ordered test.
  • Coordinates and participates in the performance and processing of EKGs.
  • Performs technically appropriate EEGs (i.e. Evoked Potentials, Intra-operative monitoring, BAEP, and VEP SSEP, or nerve conditions).
  • Responsible for calibrating, setting up, and monitoring continuous EEG/EMG procedures.
  • Participates in the routine maintenance of equipment; makes periodic rounds to ensure proper functioning of bio-medical equipment.

What we’re looking for
Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Additional requirements include:

  • Graduate of a Program in Electro-Neurodiagnostic Education (EEG) preferred

  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

  • Requires flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns including weekends and holidays to ensure continuity of care and appropriateness of coverage to the patients of Sovah Health Danville on all units.

  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • ABRET Registered Electro-Neurodiagnostic Technologist
