How you’ll contribute
You’ll make an impact by utilizing your specialized plan-of-care intervention and serving as a patient-care innovator. You will shape exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage your skills and our cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing. The primary purpose of the First/Surgical Assist position is to assist the surgeon and RN’s in operative procedures. The primary role of the First/Surgical Assist- will be to function as an assistant to the Surgeon.
Reports to: Clinical Nurse Manager/Director.

Qualifications and requirements
Physiology preferred
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Essential Functions
Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the
clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
Collaborates and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery,
information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to
achieve performance and quality control objectives.
Assists with monitoring staffing activities, including orienting, evaluating, and continuing
education initiatives.
Ensures that the department operates within compliance. Coordinates internal/external
audits.
Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
