How you’ll contribute
A Registered Nurse (RN), who excels in this role:
Become part of our dynamic PACU team. As a vital part of our perioperative services, our PACU staff play a crucial role in ensuring safe, smooth, and comfortable recoveries for patients emerging from anesthesia. You’ll work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment alongside top-tier surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow nursing professionals who share a commitment to excellence in patient care. The PACU is immediately adjacent to the operating room and can accommodate up to 8 patients and has 1 isolation room. Staffing follows the American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses (ASPAN) Standards for patient. Typical surgical services offered are General Surgery, Urology, GYN, Orthopedics, Podiatry, DaVinci Robotic surgery. RN's typically work 10-hour shifts but can vary based on caseload and workflow. Night, weekend, and holiday call is required. Call back response time is 30 minutes; hospital call rooms are provided if you reside outside the 30-minute response time. What we’re looking for- a compassionate nurse with a deep understanding of critical care principles and advanced patient monitoring.
Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
One year of experience preferred
