Position Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse, under the supervision of the RN, utilizes the knowledge basis of nursing education and experience in order to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to the hospital policies, procedures and protocols.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and ongoing education towards RN licensure
- Current LPN licensure in the state of Oregon
- Obtain BLS certification within three months of hire and maintain as current
Essential Job Functional
- Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Nursing Process, within the LPN scope of practice for the patients in the following age groups: Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults and Geriatrics.
- Documents thoroughly, following regulatory and hospital requirements.
- Participates in the responsible management of health care resources.
- Assumes responsibility for clinical competency and professional development.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrate sound judgment, patience and maintain a professional demeanor at all times
- Ability to work in a busy and stressful environment
- Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
- Computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, Electronic medical records software

- Ability to work varied shifts
