General Description
The LifePoint Office Administrator oversees the daily business, communication, and operational needs of LifePoint Church. Responsibilities include greeting visitors, managing the master calendar, maintaining records, ordering supplies, and supporting the staff. The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative tasks and will be able to work both independently and with a team. This person must be organized, flexible, and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting an office of diverse people.
QUALIFICATIONS- The ability to work well with people, organize materials, and liaison with vendors/contractors.
- Self-starter who is able to work independently, recognize gaps, and initiate suggestions to improve church processes
- Proven office management, administrative or assistant experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- A genuine love and concern for people
- Serve as the point person for mailing, shopping, supplies, equipment, billing, and errands
- Supervise the scheduling of church activities and building use, including weddings and funerals, and update the Master Calendar.
- Perform general bookkeeping as assigned
- Attend weekly staff meetings and facilitate the discussion of administrative issues
- Maintain the church database
- Run/Maintain records for annual background checks for volunteers and for new volunteers and staff
