We're currently hiring a PT time driver to operate with our transportation team. This postion involves driving our company truck to local locations throughout the city, collecting bagged materials, In house donation pick up's, operational needs and delivering them to our four locations. SUMMARY

• The Donation Truck Driver is responsible for all transportation operations within the Transportation Department. This includes creating a positive working environment, operating a straight box truck (16 ft or 26 ft).This position requires strict adherence to company policies, safety procedures, and the mission of LifePath.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Collaborate daily with other drivers and helpers to foster a positive team environment through leadership and professionalism.
• Drive a straight box truck throughout the work day (automatic transmission, 16 ft or 26 ft, under 26,000 GVW) while being responsible for observing all traffic laws, in order to safely distribute product from the donor’s home to one of the Life Path stores.
• Works with a Donation Truck Helper to load and unload furniture and other donated items on and off the truck, with careful attention, to insure that: people are not injured, KTS property and the donor’s home or business is not damaged, donated items are not damaged, and space in the truck is properly utilized.
• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the truck: Keep fuel and diesel exhaust fluid above ¼ tank, Perform monthly truck washes and interior cleaning, Keep the cab and cargo area organized daily.
• Train, guide, and motivate the assigned Helper, ensuring adherence to company policy and proper completion of daily tasks.
• Works with their assigned Helper to safely operate the truck lift gate and other furniture-moving equipment (2-wheel dolly, 4-wheel dolly, tie-down straps, other) as needed during the workday to help provide safety and teamwork.
• Performs daily inspection of truck on key safety points; reports damage or broken conditions as they occur or are noticed during inspection, in order to ensure safety of the team.
• Direct assigned Helper to assist with backing up the vehicle using proper hand signals and safety precautions; following prescribed hand-signals to communicate that the area the driver needs to back into is clear of hazards (people, pets, other vehicles, tree limbs, power lines, buildings, etc.) in order to establish a safe working environment.
• Provides friendly and welcoming hospitality to all donors during all steps of the donation pick up process.
• Treats all donors and their homes or offices with the utmost level of respect during donation pick ups as well as effectively communicates gratitude to all donors, on behalf of Life Path.
• Promptly report any significant injuries or accidents within 24 hours to the Transportation Director and Team Services.
• Evaluates the condition of donated items based on the donation guidelines set by Life Path , and communicates directly with each donor either graciously accepting or rejecting those items at the point and time of the donation, assuring that the stores are receiving a quality product and that our donors are treated graciously.
• Sends complaints or criticism “up the chain of command” (not with fellow employees), allowing open communication and a “safe haven” for potential issues or concerns.
• Offer donor feedback and referral cards at the end of each pickup, ensuring a Christ-centered and caring service.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Valid PA Driver’s License (Class D with F endorsement or CDL) and proof of personal vehicle insurance
• Good driving record and compliance with Pennsylvania’s Hands-Free Law
• Physical strength and health sufficient to move heavy furniture and work in a truck or warehouse environment
• Ability to operate cell phones, tablets, GPS devices, and basic computer functions
• Basic math and reading comprehension skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with a servant’s heart and a willingness to support the LifePath mission
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions, analyze problems, and make sound decisions

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS

• Valid PA Driver's License (Class D with F endorsement, or CDL)
• Proof of personal vehicle insurance

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Standing/Walking while moving furniture: Up to 60% of the day
• Sitting: Less than 25% of the day
• Talking/Hearing: Constant
• Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of hands to hold and move heavy furniture items, work with tie-down straps in a truck cargo box, handle cell phone and touch-pad on tablet, minimal amount of computer keyboard typing to record hours worked each day.
• Physical activity level: Heavy physical activity including lifting, carrying, and moving large furniture items – followed by periods of alert mental activity while riding as a passenger in a straight box truck.

• Truck cab with heating and A/C
• Truck cargo area (exposed to outdoor conditions)
• Warehouse (temperature-controlled in winter, ventilated in summer)
• Residential and commercial environments, including various terrains and entryways
• All-weather outdoor conditions when deemed safe

LIFTING REQUIREMENTS

• Up to 100 lbs: 10–20% of the time
• Up to 50 lbs: 40–50% of the time

VISION REQUIREMENTS

• Close, distance, and color vision
• Peripheral vision and depth perception
• Ability to adjust visual focus

WORK SCHEDULE AND REQUIRED HOURS

• Part-Time Position: Monday through Saturday,
• Flexibility required based on business needs, including attendance at scheduled meetings, off-site events, or mandatory training sessions as assigned
