A Taste of the Job:
Designing, implementing, and monitoring compliance of safety and environmental systems, creating best practices and policies that prevent people from getting sick or injured. In addition to keeping property from being damaged and in compliance with corporate, State, Federal and local requirements
Representing the Company when interacting with Government regulators for routine safety and compliance-related issues, and being the liaison for scheduling required inspections
Overseeing the Worker Compensation insurance program and controlling costs
Reviewing plans and specifications for new machinery and equipment to ensure safety requirements are met. Participate in safety analysis for new product development
Identifying and correcting potential hazards by inspecting and auditing facilities, machinery, and safety equipment. Verify implementation of corrective and preventive actions
Reviewing employee safety programs while recommending improvements
Oversee training of new employees in their safety orientation. Ensures employees are trained in safety standard work, safety work instructions, practices, and procedures as assigned
A general overview of the day to day would look like:

Path for Success:
Preferably a Degree in an EHS or Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
Certified Safety Professional designation
Ideally 5 years of safety experience in an industrial environment
Thorough knowledge of Federal and State environmental, health, and safety laws
Demonstrated ability in MS Office products
Strong leadership and communication
Benefits and Perks:
This opportunity will pay between $125,000 - $140,000 with bonus
