Position Overview:
Lifelong is growing—and we are looking for a Marketing & Development Coordinator to grow with us.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an emerging marketing and fundraising professional who is eager to take ownership of integrated donor engagement and communications systems while building toward more senior responsibilities over time.
Reporting to the Chief Marketing & Development Officer, this role will help drive the execution of Lifelong’s marketing and fundraising strategy through campaign coordination, donor stewardship, communications, reporting, and systems management. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and energized by bringing structure to complexity. They are equally comfortable managing logistics, improving systems, and crafting thoughtful donor communications.

This regular, full-time, non-exempt, non-union role is based in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle, with onsite presence required 08:30AM - 5PM Monday - Friday for the duration of the introductory period. Following a successful 90 days of employment, the position may be hybrid-remote with the expectation to be on-site at least three days per week (Tuesday - Thursday).
Qualifications:Essential Duties:
Marketing & Development Coordination
- Own and maintain the annual marketing and development calendars, integrating social media, email marketing, website updates, events, annual appeals, donor campaigns, and stewardship touchpoints.
- Coordinate campaign execution across teams, ensuring alignment between marketing and fundraising priorities.
- Coordinate communications timelines for events, including invitations, promotions, and post-event follow-up.
- Support on-site event execution as needed.
- Assist in drafting and implementing donor solicitations across mail, email, social, and in-person channels.
Stewardship & Donor Engagement
- Help foster a strong culture of stewardship across the organization.
- Draft and coordinate donor acknowledgments, impact updates, stewardship emails, handwritten notes, and other donor communications.
- Coordinate donor thank-you outreach, including phone calls and personalized follow-up.
- Manage stewardship and cultivation calendars across donor segments.
- Support the planning and execution of the annual gala and other fundraising and cultivation events, including donor briefings, friendraisers, and corporate volunteer engagement opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure events align with organizational priorities and deliver exceptional attendee experiences.
- Support donor tours, cultivation gatherings, and recognition initiatives.
Data, Reporting, & Systems
- Manage contact lists, segmentation, and data hygiene across Salesforce, Cision, OneCause, and related platforms.
- Build and pull reports to support campaign performance, donor engagement, and leadership insights.
- Monitor marketing performance metrics across email, social, and web; as well as provide weekly reporting.
- Maintain accurate donor records and activity tracking in Salesforce.
- Assist with prospect research and donor pipeline tracking.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, systems, and automation; help create structure and process where ambiguity exists.
Collaboration
- Partner closely with development, communications, and volunteer teams to support integrated fundraising and engagement efforts.
- Contribute to other departmental initiatives as needed.

Core Competencies:
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for varied audiences.
- Demonstrated experience with CRM and marketing tools such as Salesforce, Mailchimp, OneCause, Cision, Asana, or similar platforms.
- Comfortable using data and reporting to evaluate campaign performance and inform decision-making.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable engaging donors and stakeholders by phone, email, and in person.
- Highly organized, proactive, and systems-oriented, with the ability to improve processes and build structure in evolving environments.
- Commitment to collaboration, continuous improvement, and mission-driven work.
Education & Experience:
- 3–5 years of experience in marketing, communications, fundraising, development, or a related field, preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven environment.
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
- Experience in nonprofit fundraising, advocacy, or political campaign environments.
- Familiarity with donor stewardship best practices and moves management principles.
- Experience supporting fundraising campaigns, donor stewardship, events, or integrated communications initiatives.

Work Environment:
- Any offer of employment is contingent upon passing a criminal background check. Some programs may require additional background checks or frequency.
- This position operates in a professional office environment and requires extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Occasional standing, walking, and light lifting of up to 20 pounds may be required to support office or event needs. The role may also involve attendance at events or activities that take place outside of normal office settings or standard business hours.
