Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering
Required Qualifications:
- 4 years experience in machine, vehicle, or system validation across multiple applications
- Hands-on experience with machine setup, configuration, and instrumentation for validation
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (CAN, Ethernet, TCP/IP, diagnostics, communication protocols)
- Experience using Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer, vTESTstudio)
- Experience using Wireshark for network packet capture, analysis, and troubleshooting
- Experience validating embedded or distributed control systems
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root-cause analysis skills
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Great teamwork, communication, analysis, and troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable working in lab and machine environments
- Able to manage multiple validation efforts in parallel
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with off-highway, automotive, autonomous, or industrial machines
- Experience supporting machine maintenance or test equipment upkeep in a validation environment
- Exposure to requirements and test management tools (e.g., Jama, DOORS, Azure DevOps)
- Experience with HIL, SIL, or automated test frameworks
- Familiarity with diagnostics, logging, and data analysis tools
- Experience supporting customer-reported or field-reported issues
Top Skills:
- 4-5 years of System Integration and Validation experience in embedded system
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root-cause analysis skills
- Hands-on experience with Vector CAN Tools and Wireshark
Job Duties:
- This position is for a System Validation Engineer as part of the remote control teams.
- This individual will also help with product integration.
- Plan and execute system-level validation and verification for machines and integrated systems
- Perform system integration, and regression testing across hardware, software, controls, and networks
- Configure machines for validation, including software flashing and test setup
- Instrument systems and collect data using sensors, loggers, and diagnostic tools
- Validate communication interfaces using Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer, CAPL) and Wireshark
- Analyze logs and network data; troubleshoot multi-domain system issues
- Develop and maintain test plans, procedures, and validation documentation
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve defects and validate fixes
- Apply systems engineering practices to ensure requirements coverage and end-to-end system performance
