Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team in Terre Haute, IN. Responsibilities
- Administer dialysis treatments, including hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, following established protocols and safety standards.
- Monitor patient vital signs, physiological responses, and overall condition throughout treatment sessions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Educate patients and their families on dialysis procedures, post-treatment care, and lifestyle adjustments.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with vascular access management, including catheter care and suturing when necessary.
- Respond promptly to emergencies or complications during dialysis sessions, utilizing aseptic techniques and critical care skills.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives aligned with NCQA standards and infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Valid RN license in the state of Indiana or eligible for licensure transfer.
- Prior experience in dialysis nursing or nephrology is highly preferred; experience with hospital medicine or critical care settings is advantageous.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9) is beneficial.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to renal health and dialysis procedures.
- Ability to perform IV insertions, venipuncture, catheter care, and specimen collection accurately and aseptically.
- Excellent patient assessment skills combined with compassionate communication abilities.
- Experience working with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring long-term or home care is desirable.

Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
