Position Summary
Lifeline Care Center is seeking a licensed and motivated Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) to provide outpatient substance use disorder (SUD) treatment services in accordance with Minnesota state regulations. The LADC will provide comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, counseling services, and documentation consistent with Minnesota Rule 245G and applicable state guidelines.
The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in evidence-based SUD treatment practices and committed to delivering culturally responsive, client-centered care to diverse populations.
Minimum Qualifications (Required by Minnesota Law)
- Current and active LADC license in good standing in the State of Minnesota
- License issued by the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy
- Meets continuing education requirements as required by the State of Minnesota
- Knowledge of Minnesota Statutes Chapter 148F and Rule 245G
- Ability to pass DHS background study
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive substance use assessments in accordance with Minnesota requirements
- Determine DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for Substance Use Disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment findings
- Provide individual and group counseling services utilizing evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT, Motivational Interviewing, relapse prevention)
- Complete all required clinical documentation within required timelines and in compliance with state regulations
- Maintain accurate and timely progress notes and treatment reviews
- Participate in clinical staffing and case consultations
- Coordinate care with probation, social services, medical providers, and other referral sources when appropriate
- Provide discharge planning and aftercare recommendations
- Adhere to HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 confidentiality requirements
