Role Summary:
This role will manage the execution of social schedules to all relevant channels including Lifeguard Press’ licensed brands, Steel Mill and Co. Gift, and ban.do Designs, LLC. In alignment with Brand requirements. This position will develop a social media strategy that’s innovative and on trend.

Responsibilities:
· Planning & Strategy:
o Contribute to the overall marketing strategy for all brands.
o Work closely with cross-functional teams (Design, eCommerce, Merchandising) to ensure excellent social integration and support for brand events and marketing campaigns.
o Plan the daily social marketing calendar across brands and platforms. Ensure that plans are on the calendar for the team to review.
o Provide monthly summaries to the team of key upcoming content, as it relates to the marketing calendar.
o Engage the team for ideas in advance of crafting key social moments such as Holiday.
o Stay agile and aware of current trends in social media, reacting to current events as it makes sense for our brands (ie: Spotify Wrapped, Taylor Swift album release, etc.).
o Work closely with the third-party buying team on products and brands to feature.
o Develop / Execute audience growth strategies for all social channels
· Content Creation:
o Find creative ways to share our products and promotions so that they are engaging on social media. Be the expert in what works on which platforms, tailoring the approach for the tool.
o Create and direct content for social channels that aren’t directly focused on products and promotions, to maintain follower interest and engagement, while ensuring that content is on-brand.
o Create video and photo content (mostly video) for paid digital marketing, as requested.
o Find ways to feature the broader team in our social content.
· Communicating with customers, influencers, partners:
o Ensure all content across all platforms is posted and scheduled during regular business, off-hours, and holidays
o Manage daily social communications via DM across all social platforms, ensuring that urgent questions are answered during weekends and holidays.
o Monitor comments, on both organic and paid content, and reply as needed.
o Engage with content that our brands are tagged in.
o Keep an eye out for brand mentions on social platforms beyond what we are tagged in and engage where it makes sense.
o Collaborate with Customer Service team on order-related DMs and comments, ensuring that customers receive an answer to their question on the platform where they ask that question
o Source new potential brand partnerships. Collaborate with brands on deliverables as needed.
o Continually prospect for influencers and content creators to generate brand awareness and create excitement for new product launches, activations, etc.
o Work with Brand Specialist to deliver product for all outreach efforts
o Help us surprise and delight our fans by gifting non-influencers who post about our brands.
· Managing tasks for Design team:
o Coordinate with the brand teams for any design/copy needed for social media and manage the Basecamp tasks associated with these deliverables.
o Scheduling in tools like Later.
· Reporting:
o Report on social KPIs and insights to the team via:
§ All-Team Weekly Call (one week per month focuses on social)
§ Weekly Marketing Meeting
§ Ad hoc as needed
o Drive optimizations by testing new techniques, analyzing performance data, and using learnings to improve future strategy and content.
Experience, Knowledge & Skills Requirements:
· Demonstrated track record of growing brand social channels and producing high-performing content.
· Deep understanding of how all social platforms (Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Snapchat) and their communities work, including emerging platforms.
· Creative storytelling instincts — able to concept and execute quickly.
· Excellent written communication and brand voice fluency.
· Highly organized, comfortable juggling multiple deadlines in a fast-paced startup environment.
· Hands-on skills in editing tools (Adobe Suite, CapCut, Canva, etc.).
· Experience leveraging UGC and integrating influencer content.
· Familiarity with analytics/social tools (Later, Sprout, Meta Business Suite, TikTok Creator Tools).
· Experience managing multiple brands simultaneously.
· Awareness of paid vs. organic dynamics and how they complement each other.
· Must be able to work collaboratively across all departments including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers, internal staff, and external partners.
· Demonstrates a drive, commitment and understanding of company objectives.
Academic Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree, in marketing or a related field preferred
· 4 years of experience in social media management for consumer lifestyle brands.
· Advanced knowledge of graphics, motion design, photography, and video editing/production (including Adobe Creative Cloud) preferred.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Employees must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, and occasional evenings/weekends as demands dictate.
· Must have the ability to travel for in-office workdays and meetings, as needed.
· The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms.
· The employee is occasionally required to bend, lift, and carry files/products/boxes up to 30 lbs. in order to organize as well as prepare for photoshoots and meetings.
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
· Ability to sit for extended periods of time to work on computer.
· Strong verbal skills (proficient in English).
· Must be able to effectively hear in person and via telephone.
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time.
