Shipping/Receiving Specialist - Full Time

Description
This is a full time position. The starting pay rate for this position is $20/hr, with scheduling to occur during normal business hours (between 730am-4pm, Monday through Friday). All new hires will complete a 90-day probationary period.

Duties
S/R Specialist will primarily work under the direction of the Operations Manager and will be responsible for the following:
- Properly receiving incoming inventory
- Monitor/maintain inventory levels in component storage area
- Organize storage of components and maintain a clean Receiving Area
- Stage raw materials and components for Production.
- Safely utilize material handling equipment (pallet jacks, forklift, hand trucks, skids, carts etc)
- Inspect finished products in accordance with existing Quality Control standards
- Packing finished products efficiently, safely and according to guidelines
- Build custom pallets and crates
- Palletizing finished products for shipping
- Load, strap, and verify outbound freight
Additional Responsibilities
- May periodically assist production at the direction of the Operations Manager
Minimum Qualifications
-Experience operating basic hand tools
-Ability to accurately read a measuring tape and check dimensions
-Manual dexterity, the ability to regularly and safely lift up to 50lbs, and stand for long periods is required
-Experience safely operating a forklift and pallet jack
-The ability to understand and follow verbal or written instructions/ shop drawings.
Desired Qualifications
-Prior experience in a manufacturing/ production environment
-Woodworking skills of any kind are a plus
-Forklift certification (can be provided for the right candidate)
