Job Description:
We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Cullman Radiation Therapy Services. The LPN will play a crucial role in assisting our radiation oncology team in delivering high-quality patient care and support services.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with patient assessments and intake procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
- Monitor patients during radiation therapy and provide emotional support as needed.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment procedures and potential side effects.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Current LPN license in the state of Alabama.
- Previous experience in oncology or radiation therapy preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills.
