Lifecore has an opening for a Senior Process Engineer who will lead the development of manufacturing processes for new products from benchtop scale to commercial scale.
In this senior level engineering role you’ll have the opportunity to apply your skills in a highly regulated, dynamic industry by:
- Transfer benchtop and commercial scale manufacturing processes from customer site to Lifecore.
- Serve as a technical resource for process development, evaluation, and validation/qualification projects related to formulation, filtration and/or aseptic manufacturing.
- Lead manufacture of pre-GMP and GMP batches for clinical phase projects.
- Lead the design, execution, and troubleshooting of experiments. This includes creating protocols and determining the next step in the project.
- Perform critical analysis of data, interpret results, and draw scientific conclusions.
- Present data at group meetings and other broader audiences within or outside the company.
- Proactively engage quality, manufacturing, and engineering as needed to support process development activities.
This position could be a great fit for you if you have highly development lab skills and techniques and an in-depth knowledge of current medical device and/or biotechnology and processes, along with the following:
- BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Chemical Engineering
- 5-8 years of biotechnology or pharmaceutical related process development experience or equivalent combination of postgraduate education and experience.
- Experience in experimental design and critical analysis of data (statistical software experience preferred)
- FDA regulated industry experience
Starting Salary: $100,000 - $120,000
